The FAQ!

Here are a list of the most frequently asked questions, which will most likely answer your questions about us, if not use the contact us page, to ask us your questions.

  • Q: I have a question?
  • A: Use the contact us page to get your question answered! If it's related to our service, you'll see it here.
  • Q: Why do you fix inflatables?
  • A: I enjoy repairing them because I have a hobby in collecting them. I am very good at fixing them and want to give inflatables longer lives.
  • Q: Can I give you a donation?
  • A: Yes you can! by using the 'Donate' button on the right of each page, this will help me get our shop off the ground where I will start selling inflatables to you at wholesale prices as I'm not looking to make a profit. You can also donate your inflatables to us too!
  • Q: Why is your address not on show?
  • A: This is my hobby and I'm not willing to give out my home address.
  • Q: What happens to my inflatable if you can't fix it yourself?
  • A: I have a contact who might be able to help, as he has access to better repair facilities than me, 8 times out of 10 he can fix them. If he can't fix it, then they will be used to fix other inflatables if the owner wants.
  • Q: If I send my inflatable to you as a donation, where does it go? Will you sell it to make a profit?
  • A: Either, I will hang on to it for my personal collection, I will include it into a trade for one I am after or I will put it up for trade on this website. It will not be sold for money!
  • Q: I am short of money will you buy my inflatable from me?
  • A: Quite simply, No! I will only buy or trade for ones that are in my 'to-collect' gallery on the gallery page, if it's not there I'm not interested.
  • Q: What do you mean by trade?
  • A: Basically, a swap.
  • Q: What will you do to my inflatable that is in need of repair?
  • A: If the repair is obvious, it will be repaired as good as I can make it, nine times out of ten will be a tidy and clean repair, then followed by the 72 hour test.
If the location of the leak is unknown to the owner, the inflatable will be put through a number of tests to help me find the location of the leak(s).
    The more common tests are:
A senses test: This is where I inflate the inflatable and go over it using sight, sound and touch to feel any air escaping.
A water test: If the inflatable isn't too big, it is inflated 1/4 of the way, then dunked in the bath tub, there is always a danger of water getting inside the inflatable here, but the senses test will close up any larger leaks, so water entry should be minimal.
A overinflation test: This method is used in the unlikely event that the water test brings up no results, it involves the inflatable being overinflated, hopefully that the air flow will be much greater coming from the leak, so there will be more chance feeling or hearing the air escaping. Also if the leak is on a seam, it will open the seam a little more so it can be heard better, as seams will always make a noise.
Each test will be followed by a time test of around 4 to 24 hours, once I believe it is all fixed, I will give a 72 hour test. If there is still signs of leaking the tests shall be repeated or new methods will be invented to find the leak.
If I have done all I can to try and repair the inflatable, it most likely will be a slow leak by this point, I'll let the owner know of the situation, they then can decide to take back the leaky inflatable, or I can take it to my contact who will try and have a go at fixing it too which could take a month or two.
  • Q: What's the best way to fold an inflatable?
  • A: Bare with me and I'll start putting up a tutorial of how to do this.
  • Q: Do you do commercial grade inflatables? (eg Bouncy Castles)
  • A: Nope, we cannot repair these, due to lack of experience, materials and space.
